Tetnuldi Mountain in Georgia's Svaneti region is hosting the Freeride World Tour on February 22, organized by the Mountain Trails Agency (MTA), as reported by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
Georgia secured the opportunity to host the Freeride World Tour for the second consecutive year, joining Canada, France, Spain, Switzerland, and Austria as host nations.
A distinguished group of 50 riders, including Wild Card holder Jaba Tskhediani, are competing in the event.
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation selected Tetnuldi Resort in Georgia as the venue after the country successfully hosted the Tour in 2024 for the first time.
The Freeride World Tour reaches a global audience of 300 million spectators (100 million via television and 200 million through digital platforms), underscoring its significance for the development of winter sports and tourism.
The successful hosting of this tournament enhances Georgia's appeal as a tourism destination with substantial potential to attract investors and contributes to the popularity of winter sports.
