Georgia’s Q2 2025 Foreign Direct Investment Drops 12%, UK Leads Investors

In Q2 2025, Georgia’s foreign direct investment (FDI) totaled USD 580.1 million, down 12% from Q2 2024, mainly due to lower reinvestments and debt instruments. Equity made up 21.3% of FDI, while reinvestments accounted for 80.4%.
The UK was the largest investor with USD 242.7 million (41.8%), followed by Türkiye and the Czech Republic. The financial and insurance sector received the biggest share (56.4%), with real estate and energy sectors following.
