Georgia’s External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) reached USD 16.25 billion in January–August 2025, marking an 8.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to preliminary data.

Exports rose by 6.7%, totaling USD 4.45 billion.

Imports grew by 9.7%, reaching USD 11.8 billion.

The trade deficit amounted to USD 7.36 billion, making up 45.3% of total trade turnover.

The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) is expected to release detailed trade data on September 19, 2025.
