From January to April 2025, Georgia's external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) reached USD 7,755.7 million, marking a 15.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Exports rose by 14.2%, totaling USD 2,014.4 million, while imports climbed 15.7% to USD 5,741.3 million. As a result, the trade deficit stood at USD 3,726.9 million, accounting for 48.1% of the total trade turnover.

In April alone, exports surged by 41% year-on-year, reaching USD 616 million (up from USD 437.2 million in April 2024). Conversely, imports for the month declined by 3.6%, totaling USD 1,399 million, compared to USD 1,452.3 million in April 2024.
