
In August 2025, Georgia’s Construction Cost Index (CCI) rose by 0.02% compared to the previous month and by 4.4% year-on-year, according to GeoStat.
Segment Breakdown:
Residential construction: Up 0.4% monthly, 8.9% annually
Non-residential construction: Down 1.4% monthly, up 4.0% annually
Civil engineering: Up 0.1% monthly, up 0.3% annually
Monthly increase drivers:
The slight monthly rise was mainly due to a 1.2% increase in transportation, fuel, and electricity costs, contributing 0.1 percentage points to the total index.
Annual increase drivers:
The 4.4% annual growth was largely driven by a 16.1% rise in construction sector wages (contributing 3.87 points) and a 5.3% increase in machinery costs (contributing 0.34 points).
Since February 2022, the Construction Cost Index has increased by 25%.
