Barbare Salakaia earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with honors from the University of William & Mary in Virginia. She majored in Business Analytics with a concentration in Marketing.

The University of William & Mary, located in Williamsburg, Virginia, is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education in the United States. It has a rich history and is notable for having educated three U.S. presidents:

• Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States, studied at William & Mary from 1760 to 1762. He is among the university’s most distinguished alumni.

• James Monroe, the fifth President, also attended William & Mary, though he left before graduating to serve in the Revolutionary War.

• John Tyler, the tenth President, graduated from the university in 1807 at just 17 years old.

Additionally, in the academic year 2024–2025, 1,149 students from Georgia pursued studies abroad, reflecting a growing interest in international education among Georgian students.
