
Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Khatia Tsilosani, officially presented her Letters of Credence to Secretary-General Alain Berset.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, Ambassador Tsilosani expressed gratitude for the Council of Europe’s consistent support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. She highlighted the importance of the CoE’s consolidated reports and the decisions made by its Committee of Ministers concerning conflicts in Georgia.
“Georgia, as a committed member of the European family, remains dedicated to maintaining a constructive dialogue with the Council of Europe to promote human rights, democracy, and the rule of law, while upholding our national interests,” stated Tsilosani.
Secretary-General Berset reaffirmed both his personal commitment and that of the Council of Europe to strengthening the already strong partnership with Georgia. The two also discussed current developments in the country and explored opportunities for future cooperation.
