On September 6, 2023, Georgian Wings, the passenger line of the Georgian airline Geosky, will make its first international regular flight from Tbilisi to Baku. Georgian Wings, the passenger route of the Geosky airline company, has been appointed for regular flights for the Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi and Tbilisi-Ganja-Tbilisi routes with 7 frequencies per week. The airline will operate flights from the Shota Rustaveli International Airport in Tbilisi to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku in the first stage with 3 frequencies per week. Passengers will be served by the Italian-French aircraft ATR72-500, designed for 72 people, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The initial cost of the air ticket is 89 euros (equivalent in GEL) including fees, meals on board are provided during the journey.
It will be possible to purchase air tickets from August 30 through Georgian Wings' official website Georgianwings.com and through airline ticket offices.
According to the airline company official, "due to the high demand for air transportation of passengers between the two partner countries, the direction of Azerbaijan is a priority direction for the airline company." Georgian Wings will perform the first international flights for the Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi route, regularly 3 times a week. It is worth noting the fact that from July 31, the airline performs 12 regular domestic flights from Tbilisi to Batumi and from Batumi to Tbilisi, and if a transit flight is needed, the flight schedule is fully adapted to travel from Baku to Tbilsi and Batumi or vice versa. With this decision, the airline promotes and develops both the transit direction in the country and the increase of passenger mobility.
