
“A tasting seminar of the Georgian wine was held in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland, with the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the Agency's marketing company Peope PR. The wines of 12 Georgian wine companies were presented at the event,” - the National Wine Agency of Georgia reported.
The tasting ceremony, led by a renowned wine expert, sommelier and a founder of the wine school Szymon Milonas, was attended by Polish sommeliers, wine distributors and representatives of famous restaurants.
During the event, the guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, history and modern industry of the Georgian wine.
Poland is one of the strategic markets for the Georgian wine, which has established a stable place in the list of the top five Georgian wine exporting countries. In 2021, the volume of the Georgian wine exports to Poland exceeded 7 million bottles, with an increase of 34% compared to 2020. The exports are growing this year as well: 2.4 million bottles were exported from Georgia in January-April, with an increase of 30%.
