
“The presentation of the Georgian wine was organized by the marketing company "People PR", a contractor of the Georgian National Wine Agency, and the Polish Sommelier Association in the city of Gdansk, Poland,” - the Georgian National Wine Agency reports.
A presentation on Georgia and its history and traditions of winemaking was held at the event, which was led by a famous wine expert, sommelier and wine school founder Szymon Milonas. Within the framework of the event, tasting of wines of different Georgian companies took place.
The event was attended by famous Polish sommeliers and representatives of the commercial sector.
Poland is one of the strategic markets for the Georgian wine, which has a stable place among the top five exporters of the Georgian wine. In 2021, the Georgian wine exports to Poland exceeded 7 million bottles. The wine exports are growing this year as well; Georgia exported 2.8 million bottles in January-May, with an increase of 25%.
