With the support of the National Wine Agency, a successful Georgian wine tasting event was held in Oslo, Norway, where 14 prominent Georgian wine-producing companies presented a diverse selection of wines. The event attracted local sommeliers, wine experts, media representatives, and members of the HoReCa sector.
This event marked an important step in promoting Georgian wine in the Scandinavian market, significantly contributing to raising awareness about the unique qualities of Georgian wines in Norway. The National Wine Agency’s ongoing efforts aim to enhance the presence of Georgian wines in international markets, and this event was an extension of those efforts.
Since 2013, the agency has been running targeted advertising and marketing campaigns in the United States, as well as European and Asian countries, to diversify Georgia’s wine market. The agency has specifically focused on Scandinavian countries since 2022, organizing several promotional events in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. These included wine tastings, presentations, and screenings of the documentary film "Georgia, the Cradle of Wine."
Additionally, Georgian wine companies have been actively participating in international exhibitions, such as “RAW WINE” in Copenhagen, Expovina in Zurich, and “Stockholm Food and Wine” in Stockholm, further increasing visibility and interest in Georgian wines on the global stage.
The National Wine Agency's targeted marketing activities are paving the way for greater recognition and appreciation of Georgian wines, contributing to the country’s growing presence in the Scandinavian wine market.
