With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and organized by its contractor marketing company Red Bridge, Georgian wine was presented in the Japanese port city of Fukuoka.
The event featured a presentation by Kenichi Ohashi, Director of Red Bridge and the only Master of Wine in Japan. Ohashi introduced attendees to Georgia’s rich wine heritage, including its cultural history, native grape varieties, and the modern Georgian wine industry. He also presented eight Georgian wines from various regions of the country.
The event attracted around 100 guests, including sommeliers, importers, wine buyers, representatives of retail networks, and members of the media.
Fukuoka, a major industrial hub in southern Japan, plays a strategic role in marketing efforts aimed at increasing awareness and appreciation of Georgian wine. Activities in the region are seen as crucial for expanding Georgia's footprint in the Japanese wine market.
The National Wine Agency has been collaborating with Red Bridge since 2017, focusing on targeted marketing initiatives in Japan. These efforts aim to boost brand recognition for Georgian wine and drive growth in export demand across the country.
