The film titled Georgia, the Homeland of Wine is dedicated to the international scientific research, which scientifically proved that Georgia is the homeland of wine and the first wine production in our country started 8000 years ago, which continued until modern times.
The science-fiction documentary film was made with the support of the National Wine Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and Sakpatenti, the Georgian Intellectual Property Agency. The director of the 40-minute film is Aleksandre Gabunia.
The presentation and tastings of the Georgian wine were held in the business center of Reykjavík (Óðinsgata7,101 Reykjavík) and in the Icelandic wine monopoly company Vinbudin. Local wine experts, journalists and influencers attended the events, which were chaired by Irakli Cholobargia, advisor to the chairman of the National Wine Agency.
The tasting and presentation of the Georgian wine was held in Copenhagen, under the joint organization of "Rosfort&Rosfort", the largest importer of Georgian wine in Denmark.

In order to diversify the Georgian wine export markets and popularize it in Scandinavian countries, the National Wine Agency of Georgia has actively started marketing activities since last year.
