Russia is accompanied by political risks, while the Georgian wine in Ukraine, which ranks second, has the lowest export price at $ 2.61 per liter, followed by Russia at $ 2.76.
In 2021, sales of Georgian wine increased in all countries except Estonia, Japan and Singapore, where exports exceeded $ 0.5 million, including Russia itself by 9.4% to $ 131 million, in Ukraine - by 5.8% to $ 25.2 million, in China – by 22.8 % up to $ 16.3 million, in Poland – by 23.1% up to $ 13.9 million, in Belarus - by 17.1% up to $ 11 million, in Kazakhstan - by 39.6% up to $ 9.6 million, in the USA by 16.5% up to $ 4.9 million. In total, sales exceeded $ 1 million in 15 countries, the highest growth of which was +58% in the UK, +84% in Canada and +95% in Mongolia. Even higher - 480% growth was observed in Norway, but even after such a sharp increase, only $ 480,000 worth of Georgian wine was sold in Norway last year.
The export price exceeds the double-digit growth rate in two countries: in the Netherlands, where 1 liter costs $ 11.6, and in Singapore, where the price reaches $ 32.4, although sales volumes are extremely small. A total of 60,000 liters - the equivalent of 80,000 standard bottles of Georgian wine - were sold in the Netherlands in 2021, three times less than in Singapore.
