In the first half of 2024, wine exports are at an all-time high. According to official information, the export revenues amounted to $156.6 million, which is 24% more than in 2023. The total volume of the exported wine was 54.4 thousand tons.
According to TBC Capital, Georgia's top trading partner by wine export remains the Russian Federation, which accounts for 71% of the exports. The value of wine exported to Russia totaled $111.2 million, and the volume was 40.8 thousand tons. Poland ranks 2nd ($7.8 million, 3 177 tons), while Ukraine - third ($6 million, 2 209 tons).
Based on the export prices in 2023, the Georgian wine has the highest price in the Japanese market, which is $7.1, while the cheapest wine is exported to Poland, where the average export price is $2.5.
