According to the National Tourism Administration, this is the result of many years of consistent work, which GMGA has achieved with the active support of the Georgian government and international partners.

"Membership in the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association is, on the one hand, the greatest recognition of Georgia as a mining destination worldwide and, on the other hand, an important opportunity for our climbers and miners to gain international status through training in Georgia," said the acting head of the National Tourism Administration, Medea Janiashvili.
