A Georgian judoka Tato Grigalashvili was named the best male judoka of 2023 for the second time in a row by the European Judo Union, with its President László Tóth presenting the award to him.

Shalva Gureshidze was named the best young male judoka of the year, while Georgia’s mixed team of men and women judokas became the best team of the year.

The European Judo Championships took place in Zagreb.
