Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chair of Georgia's Foreign Relations Committee, met with Laurent Wehrli, a member of the National Council of Switzerland and Chair of Switzerland's Foreign Relations Committee, during the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The two leaders discussed key regional security concerns, with a particular focus on the situation in Ukraine and the ongoing peacebuilding process.

Laurent Wehrli reiterated Switzerland's steadfast support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized that the peacebuilding efforts in Ukraine should not undermine Georgia's territorial integrity or sovereignty.

The meeting underscored the strong diplomatic ties between the two nations and their shared commitment to regional stability and peace.
