
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili met with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, where both emphasized the long-standing, friendly relations between their countries. Papuashvili thanked Bulgaria for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and for its contribution to the EU Monitoring Mission.
The sides discussed strengthening bilateral and interparliamentary cooperation, as well as boosting connectivity between the two Black Sea states. Papuashvili welcomed Bulgaria’s involvement in the Black Sea Submarine Cable Project.
They also reviewed Georgia–EU relations, with Papuashvili reaffirming Georgia’s commitment to the Association Agreement and highlighting the country’s role in Europe’s energy security via the Middle Corridor.
The meeting took place during Papuashvili’s official visit to Bulgaria for the PABSEC General Assembly.
