
The Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, Levan Kakava, held another official meeting with the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Riza Tuna Turagay. The meeting was held at the Sarpi customs checkpoint on the Turkish side.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance, during the meeting, the sides discussed trade and economic relations between the two countries and the challenges faced by international shipping companies. During the meeting, the special contribution of the customs administrations of Georgia and the Republic of Turkey in the direction of deepening the partnership relations between the two countries was also underlined.
The Fead of the Revenue Service Levan Kakava noted that close cooperation is the basis for further development of bilateral relations.
During the visit, the Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance and the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey inspected the customs checkpoints in the territory of both countries and got acquainted with the customs clearance procedures on the spot.
Vladimer Khundadze, the Deputy Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, Zurab Sichinava, the Head of the Customs Department, as well as Samson Uridia, the Head of the Department of International Relations and other representatives of the customs administrations of the two countries attended the workshop ongoing in an extended format.
After the meeting, Levan Kakava thanked his Turkish counterpart for his support and noted that the close cooperation will further continue.
