Georgian Railways is experiencing record growth in freight traffic. In January 2025, the company transported 1.123 million tons of freight, a 14% increase compared to the same period last year, according to a report from Georgian Railway.

Freight transportation revenue rose by 30%, with container transport up by 37%. Notably, oil products transportation grew by 21%, chemicals by 35%, and dry cargo by 70%. Georgian Railway aims to continue this growth trend throughout the year.
