Georgian Railways is experiencing a record surge in freight traffic. In January 2025, the company transported 1.123 million tons of cargo, marking a 14% increase compared to the same period last year, as reported by Georgian Railway.

Revenue from freight transportation grew by 30%, while container transport saw a remarkable 37% rise. Notably, the transportation of oil products surged by 21%, chemicals by 35%, and dry cargo by an impressive 70%.

Georgian Railway aims to sustain this strong growth trajectory throughout the year.
