Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, expressed support for the recently announced Gaza ceasefire, calling it a “hopeful milestone toward peace” in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The Prime Minister underscored the pivotal role played by U.S. President Donald Trump in facilitating the agreement, citing his decisive diplomacy as a key factor in securing the ceasefire. He also acknowledged the contributions of Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye in the mediation process.

“We welcome the Gaza ceasefire as a hopeful milestone toward peace. President Donald Trump’s decisive diplomacy, supported by the mediation of Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye, has played a crucial role in reaching this agreement. The immediate release of hostages will pave the way for lasting peace; that remains our shared responsibility,” Georgia’s Prime Minister stated.
