The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized the importance of focusing on the situation in Ukraine in response to remarks made by French President Emmanuel Macron. Macron had alleged on Monday that Russia had “clearly destabilized and falsified the electoral process in Georgia” during the country’s parliamentary elections in October.
Addressing these claims, Kobakhidze stated that the “real problem facing everyone today” is the “devastation of Ukraine.” He further argued, “If Russia is interfering anywhere in neighboring countries, it is in Ukraine. Everyone should instead focus on Ukraine, which has been sacrificed to destruction.”
The Prime Minister also criticized Macron's statements, asserting, “The French President should instead look after Ukraine.” He declined to engage further with the allegations, remarking that he would “not comment on lies.”
