
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze held a meeting on Tuesday with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov to discuss strengthening ties between the two nations.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s press service, the meeting highlighted the positive momentum in Georgia-Uzbekistan relations, with a particular focus on expanding cooperation in the areas of economy and tourism.
The two officials also addressed the need to deepen trade and economic partnerships and emphasized the strategic significance of joint efforts in developing the Middle Corridor—a key trade route connecting East and West.
Regional security issues and the importance of maintaining peace were also on the agenda during their discussions.
