The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, conveyed a letter of condolence to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, following the tragic Baku-Grozny plane crash near Aktau in the Mangistau region.
In his letter, the Prime Minister emphasized the solidarity of the Georgian government and people with the Azerbaijani nation during this difficult time.
"On behalf of the Government of Georgia and the Georgian people, we extend our heartfelt condolences. In this moment of profound sorrow, we stand in solidarity with the brotherly Azerbaijani people and express our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims," the letter stated.
According to the most recent reports, only 32 of the 67 passengers aboard the aircraft survived, many of whom sustained severe injuries.
