Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized that only the new U.S. government is actively advocating for an end to the Ukrainian war as quickly as possible. He criticized European politicians and bureaucrats for opposing former President Trump’s peace initiatives, claiming they were doing everything in their power to block them.
The Prime Minister also highlighted a troubling statement made by the Prime Minister of an EU member country, who suggested that peace in Ukraine could be more dangerous than war. "This directly reflects their stance on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine," Kobakhidze remarked.
He further questioned, "What more needs to be said to fully understand European officials' attitudes toward the Ukraine conflict? In contrast, this European bureaucracy—particularly certain individuals who have a significant influence on EU policy—openly support the continuation of the war in Ukraine."
Kobakhidze ended his remarks by pointing out the disturbing desire among some to see similar conflicts unfold in Georgia, questioning why it should be surprising that certain individuals still aim to open a second front.
