The Patriarchal Auxiliary Bishop hosted the president in the monastry and talked about the important moments of its history, which are related to the name of St. Anthim the Iberian and his work in the fields of culture, education and art.
It was noted that the friendship between Georgia and Romania dates back centuries, which is based on the Christian-Orthodox traditions, and the role of St. Anthim the Iberian is very important in strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
The President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili presented the handwritten icon of St. Nino to the monastery as a gift in the specially arranged "Georgian room".
