“Today we are no longer Russia's backyard," - Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said in an interview with the French "Weekly Magazine" during her visit to France.
When asked by a journalist how she would assess Georgia’s relations with the Russian Federation, the President called the relations with Russia completely frozen.
"Completely frozen. There is no dialogue, except for a little technical intercommunication. However, it never takes on a political dimension. We need strength to be respected. However, solutions should be offered. Sanctions alone will not work. However, what the EU lacks is a vision for a solution to these conflicts and offers to Russia," Salome Zurabishvili said.
At the same time, the French magazine writes about Salome Zurabishvili that "for a French diplomat in the past, who then became the head of state, the priority is Georgia's European Union and NATO membership”.
