The Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has conveyed his condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the people of Turkey in the wake of a devastating fire at the Kartalkaya ski resort in Turkey.
In his letter of condolence, President Kavelashvili expressed profound sorrow over the tragedy, stating, “I express my deep sorrow over the tragedy that occurred in Türkiye. On behalf of the Georgian people, I offer my condolences to President Erdogan and the friendly Turkish people, and I wish strength to the families of the victims during these difficult times.”
The fire broke out today at a hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort, located approximately 270 kilometers from Istanbul. Preliminary reports indicate that the disaster has resulted in 66 fatalities and 51 injuries.
