The Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili and Bujar Osmani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia discussed the current events in the Black Sea region and the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia in the context of regional and European security.
Zourabichvili briefed the Organisation of Security and Co-Operation in Europe Chairman on the human rights and humanitarian situation in the Russian-occupied territories of the country, the President's press office said.
The parties also discussed the challenge of the ongoing war in Ukraine for the security of the Black Sea region and Europe, emphasising the importance of securing peace in the conflict.
The Georgian President also thanked the OSCE for the productive cooperation and support in strengthening democracy in Georgia, which she called crucial to Georgia's integration into the European Union.
On his part, Osmani stated his willingness to intensify support for the nation's institutional reforms.
