Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has rejected a constitutional lawsuit filed by former President Salome Zourabichvili, who sought to repeal the Georgian Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence.
In a statement from the Presidential Administration, it was emphasized that the law plays a vital role in ensuring transparency and accountability, as well as strengthening Georgia’s national sovereignty and promoting stable development. The law is designed to provide the public with information about the funding sources of organizations that advocate foreign interests.
President Kavelashvili’s decision to reject the lawsuit was based on these principles, reinforcing his commitment to the law's objectives.
