
President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Zhou Qian, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Georgia, in an introductory meeting. The Ambassador congratulated Kavelashvili on his presidential appointment and wished him success in his tenure.
The discussion focused on the strategic partnership between Georgia and China, exploring opportunities to strengthen political, trade, cultural, and people-to-people ties. President Kavelashvili emphasized that initiatives like free trade, the strategic partnership, and the visa-free regime are key to boosting bilateral relations, enhancing business ties, and fostering economic cooperation.
Special attention was given to the Middle Corridor and Georgia’s vital role in its development and security. The President expressed Georgia’s readiness to fully support the Middle Corridor’s growth and effective functioning.
The conversation also touched upon regional and global challenges, highlighting the critical importance of stability and peace.
