
Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov during Saidov’s official visit to Georgia, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring future areas of cooperation.
President Kavelashvili expressed gratitude for Uzbekistan’s continued support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized the strong political and economic ties between the two countries, describing Uzbekistan as not only a reliable partner but also a friendly nation.
“Given the close political and economic relations, Georgia considers Uzbekistan not only as a significant and reliable partner, but also as a friendly state. We are ready to deepen bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and cultural directions and contribute to better utilization of the potential of the South Caucasus and Central Asia regions and creating greater prosperity for our countries,” Kavelashvili stated.
He also underscored Georgia’s interest in enhancing cooperation on investment initiatives and reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s role as one of Georgia’s most important regional partners.
