
Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili held an introductory meeting with the Qatari Ambassador to Georgia, Hassan Ahmed Ali Mohamed Al Mutawa, to discuss strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration across a range of sectors. President Kavelashvili welcomed Qatar’s decision to initiate negotiations on a free trade agreement with Georgia, highlighting the potential for such a deal to boost economic ties and stimulate the growth of key industries in both Georgia and the Gulf region.
Ambassador Al Mutawa extended his congratulations to President Kavelashvili on his recent election and expressed Qatar’s commitment to fostering closer and more active cooperation moving forward.
