Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili held a meeting with Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting at the Orbeliani Presidential Palace, Kavelashvili extended a warm welcome to Azerbaijan's delegation. They discussed the long-standing, friendly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, highlighting key elements of their strategic partnership and cooperation both regionally and internationally.

The conversation also addressed the current developments in the South Caucasus and the trilateral cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.

President Kavelashvili emphasized Georgia's ongoing commitment to fostering peace and stability in the region, expressing gratitude to Azerbaijan for its steadfast support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
