
During an official visit to the Republic of Armenia, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan to discuss the longstanding friendship and expanding partnership between the two neighboring countries.
In a statement shared on social media, President Kavelashvili emphasized the importance of the bilateral relationship and noted that the two leaders held a face-to-face meeting to exchange views on recent political developments in both Georgia and Armenia.
“I expressed my sincere appreciation to President Khachaturyan for his steadfast support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty,” Kavelashvili stated. “We also underlined the vital importance of peace and stability in the region, and I reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to contribute actively to dialogue and diplomacy across the South Caucasus.”
Following the meeting, the two presidents delivered joint statements to the media, underscoring their shared commitment to cooperation and regional security.
