
Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat to discuss the evolving strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkiye, which the President described as “based on trust, mutual respect, and national interests.”
According to the Presidential Administration, President Kavelashvili expressed appreciation for Turkiye’s consistent support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The two sides reviewed ongoing economic cooperation and joint projects of regional and strategic importance. “These initiatives reflect a strong and effective partnership that promotes sustainable development and regional reliability. I am confident we can elevate our economic relations to a new level,” the President stated.
He also reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to peace and stability in the South Caucasus, highlighting the importance of diplomacy and constructive dialogue.
The meeting at the Presidential Palace was attended by Turkish Ambassador Ali Kaan Orbay, Deputy Trade Ministers of Turkiye, the Head of Georgia’s Presidential Administration, and presidential advisors.
