Following his official visit to Turkiye, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili emphasized the region's significant potential and the vital role of political stability in fostering economic growth and public welfare.
“Everyone can clearly see that our region holds tremendous potential. Political stability is the foundation of economic strength and public prosperity,” Kavelashvili stated.
The President noted the strong alignment between Georgia and Turkiye on numerous issues, including shared values and regional initiatives.
“Our discussions touched on family values, economic cooperation, and political matters. The close relationship between Georgia and Turkiye is deeply motivating. These ties are built on principled, national-interest-driven policies, and the idea of including Armenia in this format is also a positive development,” he said.
Kavelashvili highlighted a refreshing perspective on regional cooperation: “Rather than seeing each other as rivals to be weakened, we view each other as partners whose strength benefits us all. That sentiment was central to our conversations. It was an open and sincere dialogue, and I’m hopeful our partnership will grow even stronger.”
He also reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to long-term peace and collaboration across the region.
“Georgia, like its neighbors, seeks enduring peace. We have upheld peace, family values, and national interests—and our allies share these same priorities. This mutual trust ensures that conflict in the region is not an option. We are united in this vision,” Kavelashvili affirmed.
He added that both Turkiye’s President and the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly expressed interest in visiting Georgia, underscoring the deepening diplomatic engagement. “I had a warm and productive meeting with the Assembly Speaker. Earlier, our Parliament’s Speaker also visited with a delegation. I am confident these growing ties will continue to strengthen.”
