“We will stand by the families affected by the collapse of the building in Batumi as much as possible in order everyone to be given residential apartments. In addition, they will receive monetary compensation in order to arrange appropriate conditions in their homes,” - said the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, who arrived at May 26 Street in Batumi.
Irakli Gharibashvili once again expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the collapse of the building.
As he also noted, the government plans to tighten the regulations so that a similar tragedy would not repeat.
“We plan to tighten the regulations even more. In general, the permitting procedures should be strictly controlled and such a mistake should not be allowed a second time,” - Gharibashvili declared.
