"We have not made vaccination mandatory. Vaccination is not and will not become mandatory in our country. This is our firm decision and I will not change it. Of course, we need to explain to the citizens, help them, explain that vaccination is the real solution to end the pandemic. Vaccination protects us from death - this is the most important argument we have to explain to our citizens and family members. 

Most of our citizens do not support compulsory vaccination. Moreover, voluntary vaccination is established in the vast majority of countries worldwide. Mandatory vaccination is gross interference with people’s choices. Every person, every citizen, has freedom of choice. I, asPrime Minister, will ensure every person to have freedom of choice," - Irakli Gharibashvili said.
