The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze strongly condemned the brutal and reckless attack on his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico, who was shot multiple times earlier today after a government meeting in Handlova.

"Our thoughts are with him and the people of Slovakia during this challenging time”, - the Georgian PM noted.

Reportedly, after an assassination attempt, Fico received wounds to his head and chest and is in a life-threatening condition.

The Slovakian PM’s alleged assailant was detained by the police.
