
The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has commenced his official visit to Turkmenistan.
A formal welcome ceremony was held at Ashgabat International Airport, where Nokerguli Ataguliyev, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, greeted the Georgian head of government.
According to the press office of the Georgian government, as part of his official visit, Prime Minister Kobakhidze is scheduled to meet with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, for a bilateral discussion on March 7.
The statement further notes that expanded-format negotiations will take place between members of the governments of Georgia and Turkmenistan, led by Georgia's First Vice Prime Minister and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. Following these talks, agreements on cooperation across various sectors will be signed between the relevant governmental agencies.
