The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has extended condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people following a tragic fire at a ski resort in Türkiye.
The Prime Minister expressed sympathy for the families of the victims, stating:
“Deeply saddened by the devastating fire at the Kartalkaya ski resort hotel in Türkiye. I extend my full support to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Our heartfelt condolences go to the victims’ families, and we stand in solidarity with the people of Türkiye,” Kobakhidze wrote on the social platform X.
The fire, which broke out today at a hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort, has claimed 66 lives and left 51 people injured, according to current reports. Kartalkaya is located 270 kilometres from Istanbul.
