
The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili met with the Minister of State for Economy and Trade of the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh.
The conversation at the meeting touched upon the current cooperation between the two countries in various fields. It was noted that the political dialogue between the two countries was at a high level, as evidenced by high-level visits to Georgia and the United Arab Emirates in recent years.
The favorable business environment in Georgia was among the issues discussed. It was noted that there are many projects financed by the Arab investment in Georgia, and it is welcome that their number is growing.
It was said that the dialogue between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates to establish a free trade regime would begin this month. According to the Prime Minister, the creation of a free trade zone will create a favorable climate for the promotion and development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Irakli Gharibashvili thanked the government of the United Arab Emirates for granting a visa-free regime to the citizens of Georgia.
