Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has raised serious concerns over an explosives smuggling case involving material allegedly transported from Ukraine to Georgia. According to Kobakhidze, the arrested suspect claimed to have received instructions from Ukraine’s security services, and the case materials suggest the final destination was a district in Tbilisi.
“This is extremely alarming,” Kobakhidze stated, criticizing what he described as a “dismissive attitude” by Ukrainian authorities. He called on Georgia’s State Security Service to thoroughly investigate the remaining details to determine the full intent behind the plot.
