Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said he had a very positive first impression about Robin Dunnigan, the newly appointed United States Ambassador to Georgia, after having a very good meeting with her last week.
Irakli Gharibashvili told the media his Government was very optimistic about Dunnigan’s arrival and added previous negative, unpleasant facts, under the previous Ambassador, did not serve the interests of either the US or Georgia.
The PM expressed hope that the two countries would continue to jointly implement many useful projects to further strengthen the US-Georgia relations and strategic partnership, adding it was one of his main priorities as the Head of the Government.
On October 16, Irakli Gharibashvili and Robin Dunnigan discussed the strategic cooperation between the two states, as well as prospects for its strengthening and expansion.
