The meeting was focused on the current cooperation of Georgia and the EU in various fields. Significant progress and positive trend of bilateral relations was noted at the meeting also.

According to the Head of Government of Georgia, the decision on granting European Perspective to the country was truly historic and by doing so Council of Europe as well as leaders of EU member states confirmed that the future of Georgia rests within the EU.

Irakli Gharibshvili expressed sheer gratitude to Carl Hartzell for the unwavering support of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and European path of Georgia.
