Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze underscored the strong and evolving partnership between Georgia and Hungary during remarks to Georgian journalists in Milan, emphasizing Hungary’s steadfast support for Georgia’s state-building efforts and European integration.
“Hungary has consistently backed Georgia—both in strengthening our statehood and in advancing our European aspirations,” the Prime Minister stated.
Looking ahead to the upcoming session of the intergovernmental commission in Budapest, Kobakhidze said the meeting will serve as a critical platform to expand cooperation across multiple sectors.
“Strengthening our relations is especially important. The commission session in Budapest will provide an opportunity to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation, including political, economic, and other sectors. We will place particular emphasis on deepening ties going forward,” he said.
The session is expected to focus on enhancing strategic collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, governance, and regional development.
