According to the governmental press service, the Head of the Government emphasized the unwavering bipartisan US support for Georgia to achieve considerable progress in different directions and press on the right track toward European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The meeting focused on the security environment and challenges in the Black Sea and South Caucasus regions. The Georgian PM stressed that Georgia remains a loyal and reliable ally of the United States in this region.
The parties discussed the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories and the threats posed by occupation, also the daily humanitarian problems encountered by the citizens on either side of the occupation line. The conversation also revolved around the reforms aimed at Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
US Deputy Assistant Secretary Erika Olson arrived in Tbilisi on November 4 for the second leg of her South Caucasus visit.
